Kia Rio: Weight Classification System (WCS) Removal

Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three
minutes before beginning work.

2. |
Remove the front passenger seat assembly.
(Refer to the Body group - "Seat")

3. |
Remove the seat track assembly.
(Refer to the Body group - "Seat")

There are several DTC cases, please check below status.
Case A

B1763 OCS ECU Defect

B1323 OCS Sensor Defect

Case C

B1319 OCS Required Weight Check

Case D
|
B1697 ACU Communication error

Case A. B. Remove the seat track assembly of the front
passenger seat . After replacing, perform WCS reset and DTC
clear.

Case C. Perform WCS reset and accuracy check, if accuracy
check result is accepted and DTC is historic, WCS can be re-used.
|

|
Case D. Check wirings and connectors. If there is no DTC
after WCS reset and DTC clear, WCS can be re-used.
